Triple7 Eco-Scale and Eco-Scale Plus Join EnviroScale as USDA Certified Biobased Products

Triple7 EnviroScale has company. Eco-Scale and Eco-Scale Plus have joined it as USDA Certified Biobased Products, giving Envirofluid’s descaler range another independently verified credential.

Envirofluid’s descaler range has another reason to celebrate, with Eco-Scale and Eco-Scale Plus now joining EnviroScale in the USDA BioPreferred® Program.

Last year, EnviroScale earned the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label. Now, it has company.

Triple7 Eco-Scale and Eco-Scale Plus have joined EnviroScale as USDA Certified Biobased Products, giving the wider Envirofluid descaling range independent recognition of its biobased content.

And there is an important number behind that label:

96% biobased content

The USDA certification documentation records 96% biobased content for the certified descaler products.

That percentage is not simply a manufacturer claim.

Products certified through the USDA BioPreferred Program undergo third-party testing using ASTM D6866 to determine their percentage of biobased content. The USDA Certified Biobased Product Label gives purchasers a recognised way to identify products whose stated biobased content has been independently tested and verified.

What does USDA Certified Biobased actually mean?

The USDA BioPreferred Program was created to help purchasers identify products made in whole or significant part from renewable biological materials.

To carry the USDA Certified Biobased Product label, a product must complete the program’s certification process and have its biobased content independently verified.

So when the label says 96%, buyers have something more concrete than broad environmental language. They have a verified figure.

For Envirofluid, that is particularly important because we have always believed that safer and more sustainable chemistry needs to do more than sound good on paper.

It still has to do the job.

Same descaling job. More independently verified proof.

Triple7 EnviroScale, Eco-Scale and Eco-Scale Plus were developed for scale-removal applications where mineral deposits can restrict flow, reduce heat transfer and affect equipment performance.

The USDA certification does not change what the products were designed to do.

What it adds is another independently verified credential to help customers understand what is in the chemistry they are choosing.

For organisations reviewing chemical use, procurement requirements or their reliance on conventional petroleum-derived products, that extra transparency can make product evaluation easier.

USDA describes biobased products as alternatives to conventional petroleum-derived products and uses the BioPreferred label to make verified biobased content easier for buyers to identify and compare.

And for the US market, there is another important detail

The approved label also carries the FP mark.

Within the USDA BioPreferred Program, FP identifies products that qualify for preferred federal purchasing. Federal agencies and contractors have purchasing requirements for qualifying biobased products within USDA-designated categories, making the designation particularly relevant for suppliers working in the US federal marketplace.

For Envirofluid, it is another useful step as we continue building our presence and product credentials in the United States.

One range. Three certified products.

EnviroScale started the journey. Now Eco-Scale and Eco-Scale Plus are right there beside it.

With all three products carrying USDA Certified Biobased recognition, customers have another independent proof point when assessing descaling chemistry for their operations.

Not a new claim. A verified one.
